If your child or young adult had their hearing aids funded by Enable (not ACC or privately funded), you might be eligible for free hearing aid batteries.

Ko Taku Reo's Assistive Technology Service can provide free batteries (and other consumables) for any hearing aid wearer between newborn and 18. We can continue to provide free batteries between the ages of 18 and 21 for as long as the student is in full-time education.

Orders are dispatched via post haste within 1 to 2 days of receipt. However, we recommend that you order once you open the last card in the box so that you don't run out. If you provide us with an email address, we will send you tracking for your order.

Please note that we do not supply batteries for implanted processors. Please get in touch with your audiologist for these supplies.

To ensure your battery operates at its maximum, don't insert it into the hearing aid straight after taking the sticker off. Take the sticker off and leave the battery on a dry surface (away from pets and small children) for approximately 1-2 minutes to fully activate the zinc inside, which will last longer.
