Tēnā koutou, this is the last newsletter for 2022 and my first in my new role as Acting Executive Principal. This term has gone by so quickly, and we have all been super busy with exams, end of year celebrations and some lovely summer weather. The other exciting activity for me has been attending both the senior and junior prize givings for Ko Taku Reo. Seeing happy smiling faces as we acknowledge the fabulous achievements of our students and the teachers and support staff as one very large whānau is heart-warming. The technical wizardry that allows this to take place is nothing short of magical, I want to congratulate all the behind the scenes people who make these events possible.

Deaf Education holds a very special place in my heart, and I am looking forward to working with our learners and their whānau and getting to know staff better in 2023. As a school, we have much to be proud of.
