Ginny Neal - Director of Education Services (Acting) — October 31, 2023
A yearbook is a collection of memories summarising a year of outstanding accomplishments and inspiring moments. We are celebrating our students' achievements and the support of our entire learning community.
As the leader of the Teaching and Learning Team, I'm very proud of our teachers' commitment. They've gone the extra mile to ensure our students thrive and excel. Education isn't just about teaching facts; it's about nurturing a love for learning and building resilience. Our educators have embraced this challenge wholeheartedly.
The year 2023 has brought significant changes in education delivery. The New Zealand Curriculum refresh has refocused our attention on creativity, adaptability, and holistic development. We've welcomed this change and explored new ways to make learning more engaging, relevant, and accessible, using technology and innovative teaching methods.
In this yearbook, you'll find memories of our students' successes, friendships, and personal achievements. These images and stories show their determination, courage, and passion for growth. It reminds us that learning isn't limited to the classroom; it extends to all aspects of life.
As we flip through this yearbook and reflect on the year, let it remind us that our learning journey continues. It's an adventure full of opportunities to explore, question, and innovate. We're a community united by the belief in the power of education. I'm confident our students will keep inspiring us with their accomplishments and dreams.
I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making 2023 a year of growth, resilience, and achievement. As we explore this yearbook, may it inspire us with the stories it tells and the potential it represents. The future is bright, and our students are leading the way. They demonstrate our school values of Choose, Belong, Grow, and Excel daily.
As we close this year's chapter, I wish all our students, families, and staff a well-deserved break filled with joy, relaxation, and time spent with loved ones.
Kia tau te rangimārie mō tō koutou whānau katoa i tēnei wahanga Kirihimete
May peace be upon you and your families this Christmas
