Enrolled School Wellbeing Day in Auckland

Daniel Greenwood - Deputy Head of Enrolled SchoolSeptember 8, 2023

Auckland's Enrolled School students try out an ice skating session at Paradice.

Our Enrolled School Auckland students and staff went to Paradice in Avondale for our first Wellbeing Day of this term.

Our aims of this Wellbeing Day included:

  • Increased participation in physical activity.
  • Introducing students to new activities they otherwise may not get to participate in.
  • Contributing to each student's sense of wellbeing and belonging.
  • The opportunity to work on their leadership skills.

This activity also had links to the PE curriculum.

The biggest takeaway for students from this event was building relationships and connecting with old and new friends from across our 8 Auckland Provisions.

For several students, it was their first time ice skating, and they all enjoyed this experience and being supported by their peers who had more experience, which was wonderful to see them showing their leadership qualities.
