Wellington Harcourt Park Keep in Touch (KIT) Day

Rebecca Renfrew - Outreach Team LeadMarch 24, 2024

The Wellington teams had a fantastic time at Harcourt Park for our Term 1 Keep in Touch (KIT) Day.

The Wellington teams had a blast at our Harcourt Park KIT day. The 41 students who attended were split into three groups, each completing three activities on rotation. The connections students made with each other were wonderful to see.

The amazing Pedal Ready brought along some scooters for us and conducted a session on scooter safety. We learned how to fit our helmets, how to stop correctly, and the features of our scooters, and then we got to scooter on the bike track at Harcourt Park.

Students engaged in a range of sports activities, such as a parachute game, cricket, throwing and catching, quoits, and baseball. The final activity was playing on the playground, and Harcourt Park didn’t disappoint. There were two playgrounds, a flying fox, and an awesome climbing frame.

After lunch, students had free time on the playground and with the sports equipment. We even had a special popsicle treat while enjoying the afternoon sun. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and play.
