Toi Turi Youth Theatre Project

Like last year, some of our Enrolled School Auckland students were actively involved in the captivating "Toi Turi Youth Theatre Project." This project is integral to the Ministry of Education (MOE) Creatives in Schools programme.

Similar to the previous year, the students collaborated with the esteemed Tim Bray Theatre Company to present an enthralling production titled "Message from Our World." The cast comprised fourteen talented students, and this year's performance was Vol. 2, with the theme centred around "Connections."

The highly anticipated performance occurred at the Kelston Girls' College Auditorium on June 22. Our students had dedicated countless hours and put immense effort into preparing for this momentous occasion. They eagerly awaited the opportunity to shine on stage, presenting their unique showcase in their language and sharing their personal stories.

Throughout the project, the students gained tremendous confidence and a stronger sense of identity. The collaborative nature of the work allowed them to thrive and enjoy the experience alongside their peers.
