We work hard at growing our skills in many different ways in our day - through academic achievement, language, confidence and our own identity.
Our pictures show how we are 'Growing' in ourselves through all we do - say, and achieve.
We are growing in our confidence to read so many different varieties of books online. There are so many different kinds of books to read - and there's always one that we find that we enjoy. We are motivated and excited to read a book and tick off a pizza wheel tab. We can get a FREE pizza when we read seven stories and answer the questions.
Growing in our knowledge of our Family Tree and where we fit within it. We learnt about our parents, their parents and even our great-grandparents.
We are growing in our understanding of Maths. We are learning to measure sets of numbers and see the combinations that we can make with beans. We made our scales out of paper cups and a coat hanger.
Growing in confidence with our Partner School Camp – we learnt how to trust those we didn't know, try new things and push ourselves to experience new outdoor education skills. We tried archery, abseiling, raft building, shelter building, and more.
Grow in confidence by cooking, learning to measure, mixing and melting. We had to read a recipe so we knew how to make the muffins. We made banana muffins for sharing, part of our learning about Matariki. They were so YUM!
Growing our way and getting Certificates for being amazing
