Students Excel in Learning the Alphabet with New Zealand Sign Language

During NZSL week, we learned and celebrated together!

As part of NZSL week, a few students from Te Moana a Toi learnt how to sign the alphabet in NZSL. It was a bit tricky to start with, but their confidence quickly soared as the signs locked into their minds. Eager to share the NZSL language with their peers, they excitedly transferred their new knowledge into a Kahoot game! As they celebrated the progress made on this joyful journey, a sense of pride bubbled up from deep inside. When you begin to learn a new language, although it is small, it is a treasure (Ahakoa he iti, he pounamu).
