Kelston Primary Provision Impresses with Stunning Waiata Performance

Mandy Irwin and the Kelston Primary Provision TeamJune 18, 2024

Kelston Primary students have been showcasing impressive growth during their weekly Te Aroha and Rūaumoko Marae visits.

Following NZSL week, Kelston Primary Provision presented three waiata to our mainstream junior school assembly. Students practised and did exceptionally well without visual (TV) support. All the learners took pride in introducing the audience to Te Honore, E Rere Taku Poi and Pepeha. The teachers were moved to tears. Kia ora to Hasan, who gave a mihi to begin.

Students also performed the Pepeha waiata to the entire school at assembly, encouraging everyone to sign along.
