Netball fever has hit epidemic proportions at Konini this week.
Our fantastic new playing surface has been well utilised through out the week with the Year 5 and 6 syndicate playing round robin games in the lead up to todays' world cup final.
This morning we held an opening ceremony on the main court, followed by a whole school jump jam warm up. We even had Boris Johnson come along as a special dignitary to officially open todays' festivities.
During the first block the Year 1 and 2 pupils took part in a series of throwing, catching and movement skill sessions which were delivered by our senior students. During the middle block the Year 3 and 4 pupils played their own small-sided round robin tournament. The afternoon finished with the grand final for the senior school tournament followed by the clash of the day - staff versus students.
I am hoping no one calls in sick on Monday with a pulled muscle.
Thank you Mrs Ingoe and Sports Team for organising our Netball World Cup events this week.
