The countdown is on to Spartakids – Tamariki Toa 2019! Only 2 weeks to go!

Event schedule: 

09:00 am                   On the day entrances and registration 

09:20 am                   Course marshal briefing  

9.30 – 11:30 am    Racing (year ones first)  

12:00 pm                   Prizegiving 

With last year’s Spartakids event being held during an unusually dry spring, the odds are that we’ll have mud this year. Yahoo! So here’s a few race tips: loose short can chaff, shoes are recommended, loose shoes might need to be taped on, long hair would be best tied up or even in plats and warrior face paint makes kids run faster. 

The PTA needs help with: 

Baking (please bring it along on the Sat morning) 

Course setup (Friday 7pm – 8 pm and / or Saturday 6:30 – 8 am) 

Help on the day selling food and drinks  (09:00 – 12:00 pm) 

Marshalling (09:20 – 11:30 am) 

Course pack down 12:00 – 1:00 pm (many hands...) 

Pre-event entrance at the school office: 

  • Single entrance $10 
  • Two siblings $20
  • Three or more siblings $25 

Cash entry on the day - $15 each child. 

Remember to come early and register on race day - even if you’ve pre-paid, so that we know your child is there and can write a year level on their hand.

Sausages, cakes, coffee (please bring your own mug / flask) and drinks will be sold at the event.

The PTA can’t run this event without volunteers so please get in touch if you can help on the day.
