Spring is here. I am looking forward to some drier weather and the chance to open up the field again. There's lots happening over the next three weeks - so please keep and eye on the calendar and the alerts on the school app.

Spartakids - Tamariki Toa

Don't forget that this  Saturday our awesome PTA will be running their second Spartakids event. This year the course will be a lot muddier than last year so remember to bring a change of clothes! At last count we had over 100 registered participants. If you are able to donate baking that can be sold on the day, please drop it in to the office or bring it along on Saturday.

2020 Enrolments

At the last BoT meeting we discussed how many Out of Zone enrollments we would be able to accept in 2020. We have observed a steady increase in the end of year school roll over the last 3 years. The Board recognise that our community value the strong sense of community that comes about by being 'not too big.' With that in mind we have an aspirational goal of managing the school roll so it sits around the 450 pupil mark. This year we will finish with 480 students which effectively equates to two extra classes of pupils. What this means is that we will only be able to accept a limited number of Out of Zone places in 2020. Please note that the Board is committed to continuing to accept siblings of children who live Out of Zone. The important message is, if you live Out of Zone, please get your OZ application in before the 18th of October.
