Room 10 —

Dear tangaroa,

There's a lot of rubbish in the ocean!  But I know how to help so first you need signs saying no plastic allowed, only metal and bees wax.  Also at the north pole penguins are dying because big cruise ships are spilling oil and dropping cup holders.

Dear Mum, Dad and Caramel,

Did you know that New Zealand produces at least a rugby field, thirty stories high of rubbish.  Instead of chucking all our rubbish into landfill we could reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle.  Reduce means we don't use as much plastic as normal.  Repurpose means we could use something like an empty plastic bottle and turn it into a vase.  Reuse means we can use something again and again for the same use.  Recycle means we put all our rubbish in our recycling bin and then it gets turned into something like a bucket.  Please help save our environment.

From your daughter, Mika

Dear Mum and Dad

Did you know that in the pacific ocean there's islands made of rubbish so instead of putting our rubbish in the landfill bin we can repurpose, reuse and recycle our rubbish that we don't want.  Reuse means like if you have a drink bottle and you don't want it anymore you can make it into a pencil case, recycle means like if you have a plastic bottle you put it into a recycle bin then it gets turned into a plastic bucket or something like that and repurpose means like if you have something plastic and it gets old you can repurpose it and use it for something else.  That's how we can help because pollution is really bad.
