The Whanau Leaders had a day out of school to show their independent skills. They paid for their own bus and train ticket as well as budgeting for lunch. During the scavenger hunt, they had to navigate with their partners around the mall finding out answers to different questions. The parents could only observe from afar!

We did a scavenger hunt with really hard questions.  We went to Tui Glen Park and all got soaked by a sudden rainstorm.  The Henderson library was really warm.  We waited at the bus stop for a while and caught the public bus back to school - Valentine Sperber
