Kids Inspire Ashley

Room 23 - Kate and Rukiya —

On Monday, the 19th of October, Doctor Ashley Bloomfield Zoomed Room 23.

But before we get to that, let’s take it back a few months.

Earlier this year, Room 23 wrote letters to Doctor Ashley letting him know that his work was much appreciated, and that some of the negative comments he was getting from the public were very unfair, as he did a fantastic job dealing with Covid-19.

To our surprise, he got our letters.

He liked them very much, so much in fact, that he decided to ZOOM us!!

Doctor Ashley called us on Monday morning.

The whole of Room 23 were extremely excited to meet him.

He answered our questions with full answers and went into great detail, however, all our questions were about COVID. At one point he asked if we’d like to know if he had a dog. He does!

Some of our questions were:

What was the hardest thing for you in lockdown?

"I think the hardest thing for me in lockdown, was in the first lockdown, knowing what to do in this pandemic, making sure we’re protecting everyone."

What do you think COVID-19 is looking like for next year?

"Well, hopefully, we will have less cases and be able to be more flexible with COVID 19."

We’re hoping there will be a vaccine by next year, it will help a lot.

It was such a life changing experience. He is so kind. We are so lucky to have met him!
