Room 7's trip to Arataki ...

Yesterday we went to Arataki. Gavin told us about a "dumb" possum and how it went into a possum trap and Gavin went to pluck the possum out and left it by the possum trap. Then in the morning, the possum was gone. Two days later Gavin caught the same possum.

Yesterday we went to Arataki. I learnt that geckos are pollinators. I loved it when Gavin showed us that Rimu leaves can be a hairbrush. Also, Kawakawa can make a healing balm.

My Summer Challenge

I heard kids happily splashing and swimming.  I heard my brother say "come in the water".  I saw people having lunch and talking about how fun it is at Piha beach.  I felt the soft and calm water, it was like being a dolphin.  I felt like my brain told me to go deeper and deeper.  I wondered if I could swim 500 metres or even a whole mile.  I wondered if I could swim this time.

I have an invisible bucket above my head. When my bucket is empty I feel sad but when my bucket is full I feel happy.  When I get to see Ama I feel happy, but when someone pushes me I feel sad.
