Maisie Cotter —

Totem poles are carved, wooden posts made by the Native Americans.  First native people from the northwest coast of north America made the first totem pole to tell a story.  They make totem poles for the special people that died before them.

My totem pole is one of my caregivers.  He has symbols to present my life.  It has my mountain and my river.  It guards me and watches me and sometimes helps me.
