Andrew Ducat —

There is still lots to look forward to with a week to go before the end of term.

Tomorrow

We are hosting an Enviro School hui in the library with our kapa haka  welcoming the visitors. We also have a school assembly in the morning and Junk to Funk celebrations in the afternoon.

Next Week

The Senior classes will be taking part in pool play games in the lead up to the whole school Rugby World Cup celebrations on Thursday.  On Thursday morning every class will take part in our opening ceremony followed by an en masse rugby warm up. The Year 1 and 2's will then take part in a variety of Rugby skill sessions run by our senior pupils in the first block while the Year 3 and 4  classes will enjoy some Rippa Rugby games in Block 2. In the afternoon, the final of the RWC for the Year 5 and 6 pupils will take place.

We have a BoT meeting on Wednesday at 6.00pm in the staffroom. The planned pupil presentation has been postponed until the October meeting.

Spartakids

Thank you to the PTA and the team of volunteers who helped make 2019 Spartakids - Tamariki Toa such a positive experience for everyone involved. They did a wonderful job organising a fantastic community event that made clever use of our beautiful and unique environment. On the day itself, the sun was shining, helping to make the challenging course feel a little less daunting for the 200+ participants.

End of Term

Next Friday we break for the Term 3 holidays at 3.00pm. As this is the last newsletter for the term, on behalf of the staff, I wish you all a safe and enjoyable break.
