This term staff are asking the kids what they value about Konini and we now want to hear from you.

We are looking at updating our school values and are interested to hear what you think before we proceed with any changes. Some of the reasoning behind revisiting our values include:

1. Our school has changed a lot in the last 8 years when our current values were introduced.

2. Identify values that link in with our unique setting and relationship with out community.

3. It is a great opportunity to align the school values with Te Ao Māori (Māori world views) and help expose all our children to the richness of Te Reo Māori.

You will be emailed a consultation document on Monday which will include  6 value statements, each with a brief description. We would like your feedback on whether or not you feel each value statement is an important feature at Konini. Our goal is to identify the strongest value statements following consultation with the community and children.

We are also keen to hear you suggestion for a new school motto. The kids have already come up with some great ideas. Wouldn't it be cool if your whānau came up with Konini's next motto!
