Big World Cup Day at Crum Park
Yesterday five teams from Konini attended a special Football World Cup day organised by the Soccer 4 Life programme.
The nations that our teams represented were Iran, Brazil, France, Japan and Argentina. We dressed up in the colours from the flags of the nations we were representing. We also took flags and vuvuzelas - to make noise and add colour. Each country brought along a project item containing information about their country. An example of one of the project items that were brought along was a model of the Eifel Tower.
We all got to play at least 4 games each but the teams that had performed the best progressed through to the finals. From our school, Iran did the best and came 3rd overall.
The Soccer 4 Life team wanted the day to be fun and enjoyable as well as give lots of people the opportunity to represent their school while playing football.
