We took two teams to the Girl's Football Zonal last week.

The A grade team came first overall. We worked really hard as a team to win the trophy. We had a strong team and had to work hard to make it to the finals. 

In the final we played Fruitvale.  At full time the score was one all so we had to have a penalty shoot out. The penalty shoot out was nerve wrecking but Nika saved 2 penalties, so we won!

Can you believe that this is the fifth year in a row that Konini has won the girls football zonal!

We also took a B Grade team to the zonal day. Thank you Richard (Cara's Dad) for being an awesome coach and encouraging us. We won one game, drew two and only lost one game. We really enjoyed being able to have this experience.
