Our marimba group was live in action on Saturday!

On Saturday 31st of August, 27 of our talented Konini musicians joined with over 550 children from 30 schools around Auckland for the annual ONZA Marimba Festival. 

Our group was three times larger than last year with a mixture of Year 3s to Year 6s who have been working hard at learning the repertoire all year. 

Our musicians did Konini proud and Mrs Rowllings was impressed by our enthusiasm and the way we represented our school. The audience was entertained by a wide variety of songs and items, including a massed version of ACDC's Thunderstruck! 

 It was a very unique and memorable experience overall. 

 A huge thank you to the families and staff who supported the concert on the day too.
