Stories from Room 22

Room 22 —

TV

Your once sleek and shiny screen,

Is now dusty and cracked.

You once ran at the speed of light,

But now hobble, like an old man.

You carried me into the deep blue sea,

And explored the Amazon forest.

You once gave me hope and dreams,

But squished, and squashed them too.

So after working tirelessly for so long,

We finally send you to retire.

Goodbye my lovely friend, and hello my new desire.

Old Tree

Deep deep in the ground.

A Kauri seed lies under the soil

Grow grow grow.

Out comes a little tree.

Grow some more and more and more

Big big big!

I've been there for a hundred years.

The Lost Felt Pen

A lost felt pen under the shelf

I'm there until the end of the year

When teachers move the shelf and the class around

They will discover my dead body.
