Netball fever has hit epidemic proportions at Konini this week.

The Whanau Leaders had a day out of school to show their independent skills. They paid for their own bus and train ticket as well as budgeting for lunch. During the scavenger hunt, they had to navigate with their partners around the mall finding out answers to different questions. The parents could only observe from afar!

48 Children, 3 Teachers, 5 Parents, 1 Ranger, 5 Guides, 6 Volunteers, millions of insects and thousands of birds......but no rats, no cats, no stoats or dogs.

As a Positive Behaviour for Learning School we place a significant emphasis on using techniques, such as positive reinforcement, to achieve desired high expectations around respectful behaviour. We also work hard on addressing unacceptable behaviour.

After 34 years of dedicated service to Konini School, Mrs Alison Angove has retired.
