Celebrating NZ Chinese Language Week 2021
Rachel Whalley - September 27, 2021
你好 nǐ hǎo! To celebrate NZ Chinese Language Week this year we ran a video competition for students and provided free Chinese language resources to schools.
Students were invited to create a 10 second video with them speaking Chinese or showing Chinese culture (This year's theme for NZCLW is food & hospitality)
Congratulations to our winner Oscar Johanson from Tauranga Intermediate who spoke about Chinese dumplings:
And our runner up Bella Young, also from Tauranga Intermediate, who spoke about Hongbao (Chinese red envelopes):
We are also sharing free Chinese language resources (NZC L1 & 2) including greetings, numbers, songs, and more to share with your learners during Chinese Language Week.
You can find out more about our online Chinese classes in the videos below and our website. Register your interest for 2022 classes email primary@vln.school.nz
