Business Studies in Action

Kōtui Ako students studying Business Studies NCEA L3, from across Āotearoa, are carrying out their business activities this term. Read about one student’s business outcome to support others.

Year 13 student, Vincent Pechay from Reporoa College, is studying Business for a number of reasons. Not only does he wish to gain his University Entrance this year, and utilise his skills in Hospitality, he planned to fundraise to support his local school community and beyond.

Vincent prepared ‘A Day of Beverages’, and carried out his business activity at school with the help of his fellow Year 13 students. Vincent created a ‘Pop-up Cafe’ where he made and sold a range of barista-style coffees and hot chocolate.

From the proceeds of his business, Vincent plans to support both his local School Ball, and the national KidsCan Charitable Trust, so that others may benefit from his business endeavours.

Well done, Vincent!  The coffee connoisseurs among us appreciate your good work!
