Presenting some shining stars

Astronomy provides time and support for students to investigate their own burning questions around space, the final frontier.

In astronomy our students got to choose a topic to investigate and present at the end of year. Topics included how the planets are made, telescopes and nebulas, dwarf galaxies and why planets pull on objects.

Students were asked to come up with at least five questions related to their topic and present their findings in a slide format. They were given three Zoom sessions to work on their projects. During the last two lessons they presented their projects to one another. It was very heartwarming to see them encourage each other and ask relevant questions about each other's projects.
