Nau mai, haere mai ki te Kōtui Ako | Virtual Learning Network Aotearoa

Kia ora koutou katoa, Kia orāna, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Nĭ hăo 你好, Annyoung haseyo 안녕하세요, Namaste, Assalām alaikum, Hola, Bonjour, Hallo!

This month we held our first AGM as Kōtui Ako VLN and welcomed six new trustees to the Governance team. It was encouraging to see a depth of experience across both Primary and Secondary. With support and guidance from this strong Governance team, our future is in good hands.

Members of our leadership team contributed to the recent NEX PLD Summit. Kōtui Ako VLN hosts the contract on behalf of the NEX Kōtuitui online teaching network. This provides much needed PLD support for our online teachers and any NZ teacher who wants to participate in NEX Kōtuitui.

Congratulations to Dr Lucie Lindsay, who recently graduated with a PHD in Education. Lucie is Deputy ePrincipal (Primary) and responsible for professional leadership of our eteachers and leads elearning support. She is a lead facilitator with NEX Kōtuitui and a valued member of our leadership team.

Well done, Vincent at Reporoa College, moving ahead with his Kōtui Ako Business Studies and making a difference for others in the process.

Heads up on two opportunities for learners and teachers. Keep an eye out for registrations opening soon for our Primary learners. We are just finalising our prospectus now and will open up registrations next week.

For teachers and school leaders, the Korean Study Tour applications are now open with the Korean Education Centre. This is an awesome opportunity to experience an Asian country and support global education or languages programmes in your school. Several of our team have been on the study tour over the years (prior to Covid) and it is definitely recommended.

Kia pai tō koutou rā wiki Have a great week

Ngā mihi maioha

Rachel, Amanda and the Kōtui Ako VLN team
