Funding

LBS —

The Ministry pays teachers directly and provides the school with an annual operations grant to fund all other costs of running the school. The Government's school donations scheme, where Boards can choose a per-student payment, is not an option at Ladbrooks School As a school with a low equity index rating we recieve the minimum amount of funding available to a school of our size.

We rely on parent donations to provide the range of quality learning experiences that make Ladbrooks School the special place it is. Your school donation is optional, but all donations are spent on items that directly impact your children. The more you donate, the more your children get in terms of technology, Kapa Haka, decodable texts, performances, and other experiences.

Fundraising is a big part of our school, so please support requests for help. Our major fundraisers are the Christmas Ham sales, the sunflower field and PALS do event catering and lunch orders on Fridays. Children organise mufti days and bake sales to fundraise for specific groups.

Teachers arrange trips, camps, and performances at school, which aren’t covered by school funding. We will endeavour to make as many of these as possible available to all children. From time to time, we may ask for a contribution towards their cost.
