Children's University Campus Experience
Last week, the Children's University group from Ladbrooks joined with other kura to visit Lincoln University for a campus experience!
35 children travelled by bus and met in a lecture theatre to be welcomed to the campus and start our visit.
Our school was split into two groups and completed several activities during the day. We learned about the composition of soil, recognising native creatures from their sounds and physical attributes, the penguin colony at Flea Bay, codebreaking, making a straw rocket and the role that Antarctica plays in training for space missions.
The day was really well organised by the team at Children's University and was enjoyed by our learners.
It was great to see our tamariki asking questions, engaging with the activities and having lots of fun at Lincoln University.
A big thanks to those family members that came to support the day.
