πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Senior Cross-Country

Dan Fraser —

The senior cross-country will be held on Tuesday 4th September from 10.15am at Cambridge Motorcross Track in Leamington.

TΔ“na koutou,

You've got to love Term 3! Winter codes are getting to the exciting part of their season, the mornings are cold but the days are warming up, and it's cross country season!

The 2018 Senior Cross Country, (for Year 3-6 students), will be held at the Leamington Motorcross track on Rowlings Place, Leamington.  Although it would be possible for the cross country to continue being run at Leamington School, we think the students will absolutely love the experience of running around the motorcross track based on feedback received last year.

We need marshals!!  By marshals, we mean people to stand at the best viewing spots around the track.  You will also need to ensure that all students go the right way!  If you can Make a Difference to our school in this way, please contact Dan Fraser via the details below.

We ask that parents, who attend the event on the day, are mindful that children are required to stay in their house groups which will be supervised by Leamington staff.  If you wish to take your child from the holding area, please only take your own child, and be aware of the health and safety procedures at the venue.

Should you wish to take your child home, please check in with one of your child's  classroom teachers, BEFORE YOU LEAVE, to sign out.

THE DETAILS

When: Tuesday 4th September - Week 7 (PPD: Monday 10th September - Week 8). The call for postponing will be made at 8am Tuesday 4th September.  It will be posted on all Facebook pages at this time.

Where: Cambridge Motorcross track, Rowlings Place, Leamington.

What to bring: A full water bottle, a lunchbox full of energy food, running shorts (or anything comfortable), a t-shirt in the correct house color (or wear your uniform top instead), shoes (also optional - see description below).

Track description: The track is very wide; which will also allow us to run all non-competitive races together.  The track is soft underfoot but has many small stones amongst it, more so than last year. Personally, I would wear shoes as I believe I would run faster with them on, and save my feet from getting cut.  If you have visited the track and your child wants to run barefoot, that is ok.

TIMETABLE
