We are excited to announce the arrival of our new sports singlet.
The new design is a combination of the school's existing sports uniforms. The inclusion of the koru patterns are a reflection of our community and the school's manaia sits quietly in the background serving as the kaitiaki (caretaker) of the uniform. The manaia represents all students who will pull the uniform on. It looks to the past and acknowledges all those who have been before us, guides and strengthens all those that currently wear it and looks to the future to inspire all those that are yet to come.
The Leamington Warriors basketball team will debut the new singlet at their game in Te Awamutu on Friday 31st September. The Leamington SHAPE (Sport Health & Physical Education) Team have funded enough singlets for one Basketball and one Touch Rugby team for the start of their Term 4 competitions. The aim is to see all our teams in the new singlets at the start of 2019. If anyone in the community wishes to support the SHAPE Team in sourcing funding to purchase more singlets please get in touch with Jacqui McCann, 022 353 6039.
