Winter Sport has almost come to an end; thank you to everyone who helped make this season possible
As winter sports come to an end, I would like to take a moment to thank all those who made this season possible. It has been a roller coaster of a ride, starting the no sport possible, then no restrictions, then restrictions in place that held the potential to stop sport altogether.
Thank you to everyone who showed great flexibility and determination to allow sport to take place. We needed to sort things quickly, and your involvement allowed us to do that. Your willingness to change plans with both training and game day organisation meant our children were able to take the field.
Sport is as much about community, friendship, generosity and learning about self as it is about being active and learning to work in a team. Thank you to everyone who made a difference.
I want to give a special mention to our sports council for the work they have done behind the scenes. This group of parent volunteers have given many hours to organise winter sports across our school. Most of them also coached teams and made many unseen sacrifices. Thank you for being so generous with your time and selfless in making a difference.
Our winter sports prize giving is set for Sunday 18 October. More details will follow.
