LPS Demonstrate Excellence at Squash Tournament.

Jacqui McCann —

Blake McKinnon takes out his first ever squash title!

Seven Leamington senior students attended the Cambridge Inter-School Squash Tournament held at the Cambridge Racquets Club on Thursday 23rd August.

Well done to all our students who competed, your squash skills are improving every time you take the court, your hard work is paying off.

Congratulations to Blake McKinnon who won the A Division with an outstanding performance in the final against Cambridge East's Nate Clarke. Lukas Murray took home 5th place in the Championship round and Liam Adam was presented with the Fair Play Award for his honesty and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Cambridge East was a mighty opponent and walked away with the points trophy. Our team will have another opportunity to compete for the trophy again at the Waipa Inter-Schools tournament later this term where we hope to compete against some teams from Te Awamutu. In the meantime, it is back to our practice sessions at the Leamington Squash courts every Wednesday for options to refine our skills.
