Welcome Back to 2019!

Leamington School —

A very warm welcome to all our students and families for the start of this new year at school.

Ngā mihi o te tau hou! Happy New Year and welcome back to 2019.  We trust families were able to make the most of the summer break and create new memories with family and friends and also find the time to relax and recharge the batteries.

A very special welcome to our new families who have joined us.  We hope that your time with the "blue crew" far exceeds your expectations and many new friendships are formed.

As we look to a new school year we are very much looking forward to partnering with families again to co-author amazing futures for the children of our community.  We have plenty of cool things to look forward to this year as we try to have another school grand slam!  😜

The start of the school year is always a busy time with lots of information coming out about upcoming events, sporting opportunities, new routines etc.  The start of the school year also brings lots of bills as schools all ask for stationery, school donations etc.  There are many moving pieces at our school so keeping an eye on our school Facebook page, your child's class Facebook page and our newsletters; these are the best ways to keep up to date with everything that happens around the school.

The start of the school year has been timed, it would seem, for the hottest couple of months in the year!!!  It is times like these that we are grateful that every class in our school has air conditioning and that we have our own school pool!  It is also a good reminder to have each child bring their own drink bottle to school to stay hydrated.   We also recommend applying sun block before school and wearing our school uniform sun hat, (the sun hat can be purchased at the school office and is compulsory uniform wear in Term 1 and 4).

We look forward to catching up soon at either our family picnic or just around the school in passing.  Please do not hesitate to make contact with any of our people if you have any questions or concerns, and we will do our best to help where we can.  If ever you feel you want to make contact with me directly, (Mike the Principal), do not hesitate to pop in, give me a ring on 027 740 7303, or make a time to see me. (This link shows all available times in my diary for any parent to reserve a time in my diary to come and talk.)

Looking forward to meeting you and catching up soon!
