South Korean Ambassador His Excellency Lee Sangjin visited Hawke's Bay on 19 February 2021, meeting with Korean students from LHB member schools

The event saw the Ambassador meet with 7 Korean students from Woodford House, Taradale High School, Napier Girls High School and Lindisfarne College.

The Ambassador was pleased to meet with the Korean students and impressed by their experience in Hawke's Bay. Korean students introduced themselves to the Ambassador and talked about their learning and living experience in Hawke's Bay. Lindisfarne College students put on a big haka to welcome the Ambassador.

No doubt our schools have done a fantastic job looking after and educating these students in our region. The invitation to participate in this event was sent to all our secondary member schools and the response was great.

LHB and Eastern Bridge will do a press release to the Korean media. This is a good opportunity to introduce our region to the Korean market. LHB has also reached out to the Korean Embassy to seek opportunities to cooperate in education and raise the region's profile in the Korean international education market.
