Food for Thought Presents
WELLBEING; by Dr Kevin Moore
Government wants us to have more of it but what does it mean?
Dr Kevin Moore, Associate Professor, at Lincoln University has just published a book about Wellbeing. He argues that wellbeing is a paradox because despite material comforts and modern advances people struggle to feel positive wellbeing in their lives. He says we live in a aspirational culture that demands constant economic improvement and individual ambition which promotes change and uncertainty. We are the product of culture and biology and our wellbeing depends on how we individually react to those forces.
