In Kiwi Class...
Kiwi have been noticing the leaves changing as we head through Ngahuru, Autumn, and into Te Hotoke, Winter. This ties in nicely with some of our numeracy learning about measurement; time, length, and money.
We read an Autumn poem and discussed rhyming words and the special autumn colours. We then created our hedgehog pictures! Our learning came full circle when a real hedgehog visited the playground on Wednesday and got tied up in the soccer nets! Luckily Mrs Marshall and Liv came to the rescue and released it.
Our students made some beautiful Autumnal Hedgehogs with Mrs Egden and this is what they had to say about them:
“My hedgehog is brown, scratchy and soft. It has yellow, green and red.” Arthur
"My hedgehog is dark brown and light brown.” Olivia
“My hedgehog has spikes.” Eva
“My hedgehog has light brown and yellow. She is crawling around.” Piper
