The Wild Wind
Stories written by Kererū from Saturday 14th of November about the extreme winds. We have made a class book about our experiences.
The wind blew trees over on Saturday. I was scared and nervous. I saw stones flying around and around.

On the weekend horrendous winds blew through the neighbourhood, pushing trees down, and causing a power cut. We saw the wind's actions making rough forces because the wind was blowing. It made me and my family feel anxious. For me it was scary but exciting.

On Saturday morning the wind was crazy, cold, and strong. We saw the willow trees’ branches fall down. I felt very sad and angry because the willow tree fell down. We went to Launch Pad with all Oscars’ friends.

On Saturday there were stormy wind gusts up to 150 kms an hour. I saw big pine trees falling on Leithfield Road and everybody helped to clean up. I felt anxious because we were surrounded by trees. We had a big one beside our home.

On Saturday there were horrendous stormy winds and it was crazy. I saw trees down and wavy bushes on the ground. I felt terrified and worried about everything in my house. At my house Otis was barking his head off. When the power came off we were luckily fine because we had super solar power so we watched a movie.

On Sunday the wind was calm and we went on a walk. Suddenly the wind was getting rough and my heavy trampoline flipped over. We drove past a tree that fell on a preschool and that’s how the power went out.

On Saturday there was terrifying, windy, ginormous, bad weather. It was cold and freezing! (That’s for sure!) Suddenly the power went out! There was no internet! I felt scared and it didn’t feel normal! My water tank flew through four fences and now it’s upside down on my road! So I rode on my quad bike to check it out and it was pretty bad!

On Saturday when I went outside it was crazy and the wind pushed me forward. When I went inside the power turned off. I felt anxious, nervous, scared, and worried. I saw trees falling down at the pub and on a house. Then on Sunday the power turned on.

On Saturday we had crazy weather because trees were moving and large things were wobbling. I felt anxious and scared. I saw the power went off and the wind was strong, it was wobbling. The basketball hoop fell on a tree and our freezer outside almost fell. It was also freezing and our tramp was going to come out but my dad put it in the ground.

On Saturday the wind was so crazy and so strong. I saw lots and lots of petals coming off the blossom trees and even some branches fell on the ground. I felt scared, cold, worried, and surprisingly excited. The power was out and the water wouldn’t work but we got a generator.

On Saturday there was no power and I was so angry because I had no tv. Then I went to Davey’s and I played Minecraft. Then I watched Spiderman and it was amazing. Then I went and had lollies.

On Saturday the wind was so strong that it made the tramp move. I was so scared and what was more scary is that Tahlia, Daisy, and I went to go to the delicious dairy to get some food and on the way back a big gust of wind came and we hovered to the bus stop but an even bigger one came and we were scared. When we got home we were relieved to be safe.

On Saturday there were horrendous strong winds. It was crazy. We had no power and we had to light up old wooden candles. Me and some of my large, amazing, old Willow trees were creaking and it was terrifying. But to calm us down we played amazing, long, old monopoly. It took two days to finish the amazing, old monopoly game.

On Saturday it was very windy and then I saw trees fall. Then I saw my trampoline flying up in the sky and then landed into trees. I felt worried and scared if a tree fell down on our house. I got a shower because we had a motor that could charge phones.

On Sunday it was terribly windy. My dog was running like a mad man. Branches were breaking. I went mad and crazy at the same time.

On Saturday the wind was crazy strong and there was a lemon tree sized tornado. It sucked up all the weeds on the ground and threw them at our cottage- and the hedge. I was so scared. Suddenly the power went off and didn’t come back for over a day.

On Saturday it was very windy and there was a rainbow. The trees were blowing and branches were falling down. I was scared when the alarm went off. We went to stay at my Granny’s because we had no power or water. Daddy has lots of trees to cut up and branches to burn.
