Feb 6th, 2019 is Global School Play Day! A day dedicated to bringing awareness to the importance of unstructured play for the healthy development of a child.

We are taking part in Global School Play Day again this year.  As Feb 6th is Waitangi Day we will join a number of other schools  across NZ in acknowledging this day on Tuesday 5th February.

On this day Learners bring anything they wish to play with to school. The only restrictions: these toys may NOT require batteries or electricity. No devices. Some popular ideas last year included: board games, dolls, Lego, blocks, trucks, cars, race tracks, playing cards, empty cardboard boxes, markers, jigsaw puzzles, blankets (for forts), social games (charades, Pictionary, etc.) .
