School Traffic Safety Team 2020

Jen Hodgkinson —

We need Yr 5 - 7 Learners who are interested in becoming a member of our School Traffic Safety Team in 2020!

With your permission, they can join the team to assist our learners getting safely across the kea crossing on either Charlbury Drive or Lemonwood Drive from 8:25-9:00 am and 3:00-3:20 pm on a rostered basis.

School Traffic Safety Teams have an important role in keeping our children safe on the way to and from school. Being a team member is a significant responsibility that requires special training and commitment. We see this as a fantastic learning and leadership opportunity and know that our students will benefit from being a part of the School Traffic Safety Team.

If you agree, you’ll need to make sure that your child arrives on time for all of their rostered duties. To help you, we’ll provide them with a roster and a timetable for the term.

Each member of the School Traffic Safety Team will take part in a training day and have the support of a trained teacher or parent helper at all times. On the day of this training, there will also be a session for parents who are willing to assist the team on a rostered basis.

Training will take place on Friday 1st  November from 9:30am with Constable Rick.

Please talk this over with your child, then complete this form by Monday 28 October or ask for a paper form at the office.
