This week I enjoyed spending time at our 3 Outdoor Education experiences. Outdoor Education is a really important part of the New Zealand Curriculum and provides many opportunities for 'rich' learning to take place.

A huge thank you to Hughes Developments who generously donated $10,000 towards the cost of our new shade sails. Thank you also to the Board of Trustees who topped this up. They look awesome and certainly provide a great deal of shade for our learners. A great result. Onto our next property project now.

A big shout out to all of our parent helpers who have supported our team and learners throughout the school over the last two weeks. . .

This year are excited to have the support of the Mana Ake Service and our liaison Hayley Tait.

Next Friday, we are hosting our first Celebration of Learning for 2019.

Each newsletter we will provide an explanation of some of the words and phrases that we use here at LWG.
