Play is the Way
'Play is the Way' is how we help our tamariki learn social and emotional competencies. They are the skills we all use to handle ourselves and our relationships with others. Tamariki always need good role models and appropriate behaviour is best learnt through modelling by the adults in their lives.
This week our focus is “it takes great strength to be sensible.”
You can show this by :-
Standing up for others
By doing the right thing and not following others
Be positive when it is hard
Think before acting
Don’t say things about others when you don’t know the full story
Think before you speak
Co-operate with new and different people
Stay calm when you are upset
How strong are you?
