The Board of Trustees (BOT) has the overall responsibility for the smooth running of our school, although it delegates much of the day to day management of this to the Principal and Staff.

The Board is responsible to the community and the crown for . . .

•  the progress and achievement of all students at Te Huarahi School

• meeting the intent of the Treaty of Waitangi by valuing and reflecting New Zealand's dual cultural heritage
  

•  the strategic direction of the school

• overseeing the management of staff, property, finances, curriculum, administration of the school, 

•  ensuring government priorities are met. 

The Board in turn reports to the school community and to the Ministry of Education on a regular basis.

Members of our school community are welcome to attend any Board meeting. Minutes of each meeting are available in the school office reception area. Board members are usually elected by parents for a three year term.

Meetings

Board meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month at 1:15pm in the meeting room.
