Tamai Pasifika Extension Group
On Tuesday we were treated to a great perfomance by our Tamai Pasifika Extension group. This group is made up of all the schools that belong to our Tamai Kāhui Ako:- Bromley, Ngutuawa, Te Waka Unua, Whītau and Te Aratai College and Te Huarahi/Linwood Avenue. The group performed in all of the Tamai schools.
The ākonga in this group are performers who were chosen for the extension group because they dance gracefully, sing with passion and harmony and can move to the beat. They captivated our school and showcased the rich heritage of the Pacific Islands.Everyone was entranced.
I was very proud not only of our wonderful performers, but also of our Te Huarahi/Linwood Ave audience. Everyone was so respectful and attentive.I was poho kererū!
Mahi Kāinga/Homework
Kia ora/ Thank you to all whānau who took part in our mahi kāinga/homework. We had only 11 responses online and a huge response to the paper version. This information will help the Board of Trustees with making a plan for our school for the next few years. As soon as I have all the information collated, I will share it with you.
