On Monday 23 ESOL (English Speakers of Other Language) Learners participated in a cooking competition. The four teams had to buy ingredients from Countdown, carefully follow two recipes and prepare their two dishes from scratch for the judges in order to claim the Master Chef title. Each team worked hard to turn their fresh ingredients into creative and delicious dishes for Gretchen, Mrs Mauger and Mr So to sample. Everyone got to taste food from all over the world including Samoa, the Philippines, Vietnam, the US and India. The food sampling was by far the most popular favourite of the event! Congratulations to the Yellow Team (Naomi, Yael, Josh, Suri, Shivika and Fatima) who scored a perfect 18 points and got to claim the Master Chef title for 2021!
