Kia ora e te whānau

Thanks again to Apollo Projects for gifting our Junior tamariki two weeks  paid swimming lessons. All of our tamariki made progress in  confidence, skills and learnt about water safety.

The  Board met last Wednesday for the final meeting of the year.

  • The Board is currently investigating installing a camera system at the school because we have been experiencing on-going vandalism.
  • As you will know from a previous newsletter and information, Ngāi Tahu has gifted us  the name 'Te Huarahi'. The board has decided to adopt a dual name for 2022, reviewing this later in the year.
  • The work for our new playground is being tendered
  • The new Basketball hoops ( 1 donated from the Canterbury RAMS  have been installed later today.

End of Year Reports will go live today and tamariki will be bringing home a class placement notice that will let you know about next year's class,  teacher and a day and time, on the first two days of Term 1. Please put this notice in a safe place.Stationery cost is $20 per child this year. This can be paid at the school office or by online banking and next year we will have eftpos available.

Our bank account is: 030855 03349977 00 and please put your child’s name as reference.

As the term draws to a close it is important to acknowledge the wonderful staff at Linwood Avenue school who go above and beyond for all of our tamariki. We would like to thank the following teachers who have won positions at other schools and will be continuing their teaching journey at other lucky schools:

Emma Burgess( Rāwhiti)

We  also recognise those staff who have also finishing their time at Linwood  Avenue School:-
