Team Tūī Learning

Dion Paxie —

This term Team Tūī have been working on the values of Kia Whakaute (Be Respectful) and Kia Māia (Be Brave). Our learning has been centred around kindness, empathy, cooperation and equity.

Duathlon

During the duathlon, ākonga displayed resilience and support as they cheered for their peers and tried their best. It was impressive to see some tamariki compete on their own. Ka rawe!

Swimming

Our team has been really enjoying attending swimming lessons at Te Pou Toe Toe (Linwood Pool) this term. Tamariki have been improving their confidence in the water and learning new skills. It has been fantastic to see how much their confidence has increased during this time. Ka pai Te Huarahi!

Capture the flag

We had a blast during our recent Capture the Flag tournament. We were competing against other tamai schools in a fun environment. The tamariki showed teamwork, cooperation and resilience.

Tamai Taster Day

On the 23rd of February 2024 Tamai Sports in conjunction with local sports clubs ran a sports taster day at Te Huarahi. All year 3-6 children had an opportunity to participate in rugby, football, hockey, netball & capture the flag across 5, 15 minute blocks.
