Linwood College celebrated our annual Sports Awards prizegiving on Thursday 26th September at Te Waka Unua School hall.

The event was a huge success. Dayton Rapana and Eileen Prasad were MCs for the evening, both doing an outstanding job. Richard Edmundson gave the Principal's message and Inga Finau (current Canterbury Rugby player) shared his journey and life lessons with us. Richard Edmundson, Inga Finau and Finlay Laird from the Board of Trustees presented awards. The event had awards for all sports and physical activities run this year, including all year 7-13 student athletes. 

Representative players were recognised and then major awards for all of our outstanding athletes were presented.

We would like to thank the Health and Physical Education learning area, our teachers who coach,  manage or drive, all of our student and ex-student coaches, our whānau who support us and our community. This year we would also like to thank Te Waka Unua school for the use of their school hall.
