Waiporoporo House Dean's Report

Nicole Rose —

Kia ora, and warm greetings from Waiporoporo house.

I want to take this time to acknowledge all those Waiporoporo students who received awards at our recent Senior Prizegiving, Sports Awards and Tamai Pasifika Awards. It was great to have so many of our student's hard mahi and determination in different areas be rewarded over the 3 prize givings. Special mention to Orion Tipuna of Waiporoporo who is the Dux prize winner for 2019!

I want to thank the following staff at Linwood College for their guidance, support, encouragement and work they have done with the students of Waiporoporo.  Also, many thanks to Assistant-Principal Jac Yoder, who has oversight of Waiporoporo, Sue Ingle and her guidance team, and Tracy Jongens and her Learning Acceleration team.

And to our 9 Waiporoporo Kaiārahi, the support and encouragement you give our students every day is also appreciated.

Thank you everyone; our students would not have had the success they have had without us all working together.

Permission slips have now gone out for activity day on the 11th of December. With Junior Prizegiving on Thursday 12th December being our last school day 2019.

It has been a pleasure being the Waiporoporo House Dean this year and I wish you all the best for the holidays.
